Our Incredible Adventure departs Las Vegas at approximately 7:OO AM. The first stop on our jouney will be at the world famous Hoover Dam. Straddling Nevada and Arizona, the Hoover Dam was one of the most extraordinary engineering feats of its time. We’ll spend about 20 minutes exploring this amazing structure, having time to photograph Lake Mead and Black Canyon. North of the Dam, Lake Mead is a beautiful example of a southwestern lake with sandstone walls rising high from it's shores. South of the Dam, Black Canyon is a perfect example of a narrow canyon commonly seen, but magnified by the sloping walls of the Hoover Dam and giant cliffs of its natural surroundings.
While at the Grand Canyon you’ll experience two breathtaking viewpoints, an all-you-can-eat hot buffet lunch and an informative nature walk with your knowledgeable guide. We visit the Canyon on the 1.5 million acre Hualapai Indian Reservation. The tour includes a brief stop and photo opportunity at an ancient Joshua Tree forest. Not only will you experience rim views of the Grand Canyon, but we drive down to the Canyon floor to the Colorado River (weather permitting). On this stunning drive we skirt the Grand Canyon’s rim on the only road to the bottom. Be prepared for an exciting ride as this journey is taken by dirt road and exposes you to close-up and far-flung canyon views.
After a great day in the desert southwest we will journey back to Las Vegas driving on sections of historical US Route 66. We will have you back to your accommodation between 7:00 and 8:00 pm so you can enjoy the nightlife that Las Vegas offers.
