Detailed Itinerary

This tour starts with a couple of days to explore San Francisco's rich diversity, then it's on to Yosemite National Park. After seeing Yosemite's highlights, such as El Capitan, Yosemite Falls, Half Dome and the Giant Sequoias, you will continue to "Sin City" for some All-American entertainment.

We leave the lights of Las Vegas for the sights of Zion National Park, where you can hike the Narrows of the Virgin River or climb to the summit of Angel's Landing. The next stop on the journey is Bryce Canyon National Park, with its colorful and surreal hoodoos. A swim in Lake Powell is perfect after a walk through the Upper Antelope slot canyon (optional, $25).

Monument Valley
Giant Sequoia, Yosemite

Grand Canyon National Park is the second of the National Park jewels that we visit. Here you will enjoy a couple of days of hiking and sightseeing. You can also choose to take an optional helicopter or airplane tour over the Grand Canyon. Next on the itinerary is Monument Valley, ancestral home of the Navajo Indians.

Take a jeep tour or horseback ride through this sacred valley. Visits to Arches National Park and Canyon Lands National Park are the next destinations on the tour. Moab, Utah is considered to be an outdoor adventure sports mecca, so naturally the tour provides a free day for you to get your adrenaline fix. In Moab you can Mountain bike the famous Slickrock Trail, raft the Colorado River, off-road in a 4x4 Jeep or just relax.

The adrenaline will be wearing off about the same time that we arrive at Jackson Hole, gateway to the Grand Tetons. Just north of these magical mountains lies the third National Park jewel in our treasure chest, Yellowstone National Park. Here we will set up camp for three nights as we take our time exploring this massive park.

You can soak in a natural hot spring after hiking the "Grand Canyon of Yellowstone." Yellowstone has a well-deserved reputation for its stunning vistas, colorful geothermal features and amazing diversity of wildlife. A few days in this remarkable park are sure to reward you with amazing photographs and lifelong memories. A short drive to Salt Lake City, Utah completes this extraordinary tour.
