This exciting 16-day tour of America's Southwest begins with two days exploring the unique neighborhoods and cultural diversity of the picturesque city of San Francisco. From Fog City we cross the nation's breadbasket, California's central valley. From we climb into the Sierra Nevada Mountains bound for Yosemite National Park.

As one of the crown jewels of the National Park Service, Yosemite is nothing short of incredible. World-class hiking, soaring cliffs and waterfalls are the main attractions of this great park. Other amazing highlights of Yosemite National Park include El Capitan, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and the Giant Sequoias. You will leave the park via the Yosemite High Country.

After exiting the park you will pass Mono Lake before crossing the barren deserts of Nevada en route to the beautiful canyons of Utah. The colorful hoodoos of Bryce Canyon National Park are a sight not to be missed. A walk down the Navajo Loop is like a trip to another world. The image of a sunset or sunrise over the rim of Bryce Canyon is unforgettable.

Zion Canyon National Park is your next destination, where spectacular hikes await. Wander the Narrows of the Virgin River-if you're not afraid to get your feet wet. Or you could summit Angel's Landing if you prefer a loftier challenge. Either way, you will be impressed with the towering sandstone cliffs of Zion Park. After exploring Zion you can take a refreshing swim in the azure waters of Lake Powell.

An optional hike through local slot canyons could be in order before we venture on to Monument Valley, ancestral home of the Navajo Indians. A Jeep tour across the valley floor or a horseback ride around one of the Mittens are both excellent ways to explore the land of the Navajo. After crossing through the Painted Desert, the next stop is the Grand Canyon.

Grand Canyon National Park is another jewel of the National Park Service. Walk along, hike down into or take an optional helicopter /airplane flight over this natural wonder of the world. The tour terminates with a night in Sin City-Las Vegas, Nevada, the self-proclaimed entertainment capital of the world. From "Fog City" to "Sin City" this 16-day tour of the American West is truly incredible!
